10th ISCB Wikipedia Competition - article shortlisted![edit]

On behalf of the organising committee for the 10th ISCB Wikipedia Competition, we would like to thank you for your contribution to computational biology knowledge. I'm delighted to let you know that the nominating committee has shortlisted your competition entries Machine learning in bioinformatics and Pan-genome for an award. To be eligible for an award, we need you to identify yourself to us and provide proof of your status as a student or postdoc (for example, a photo of your university/college ID). I'd be grateful if you could contact me via email (at alastair.kilpatrick@ed.ac.uk), preferably by Mon 21st June - please also include your Wikipedia user name in your email. ArbCom 2021 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 6 December 2021. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
